This animated collage video was part of a communication campaign by the anti-corruption NGO Transparency International, highlighting the importance of the Whistleblower Protection Act. It tells the story of an employee experiencing a violation of law in practice and illustrates whom a potential whistleblower can turn to for help.
In 2023, the Czech Republic introduced the Whistleblower Protection Act to safeguard employees against retaliation when reporting illegal activity. To raise awareness around this landmark legislation, Transparency International CZ launched an educational communication campaign.
I collaborated with Transparency International to create an engaging animated collage story. The video follows an employee experiencing a legal violation in the workplace, illustrating how such issues impact employees, society, and the environment as a whole – while highlighting where potential whistleblowers can turn for help.
The Creative Process & Workflow
While the Transparency International team developed the initial concept and script, my role was to design and execute the complete visual identity and bring the story to life through motion:
1️⃣ Concept & Storyboarding: Based on the finalized script and the visual style I established for the Whistleblower Protection Act projects, I drafted a storyboard to outline the narrative flow and map out the overall collage composition.
2️⃣ Collage Design & Audio Mixing: I curated and prepared the collage materials, textures, and visual elements, while mixing and selecting the sound effects and background music.
3️⃣ Animation & Final Synchronization: Once the assets and sound design were approved, I synchronized the visual elements with the audio track and animated the collage composition in Adobe After Effects.
